Semester 4 : Week 2

Image
This semester I have a lot on my plate but I am much more organized than I have been in previous semesters. It is still overwhelming to see my calendar but as long I communicate with my professors, Josh and Dr. Cotter, I think it will all be fine in the end. I am very excited about this Friday since it'll be my first meeting with the rest of the research group. My main goal for this semester's project is to learn how to work with others. I plan on applying for summer internships and reu's but I don't feel that I have enough experience with working in teams so I hope I can learn through Cotter's group.

Semester 4 : Week 1

Over winter break, I was productive and planning out stuff for transferring. I talked to Dr. Sandrin about meeting TRAIN alumni and I will be meeting with an Applied Math grad student next Wednesday.  As of now, my goal is to complete my Associate in Math, get my bachelor's in Stats, and then a graduate degree in Applied Math. I originally wanted to Applied Math for my Bachelor but it would be easier to get a job with just a Statistics degree versus Applied Math. Going to graduate school is still one of my goals but if for whatever reason I did not have enough aid to go after my undergraduate, or changed my plans, having a statistics degree would be a good safety net.
